Welcome! My name is Alex Lamon. I teach business and economics in New Jersey. Business teachers understand that what we teach brings great benefits to our students. Despite that, the state of business education in the Eastern region of the U.S. is shrinking:
Teachers are asking for resources to advocate for their profession. They need resources to teach their classes to be engaging, meaningful, and relevant in a world that is changing rapidly, in a school environment with much competition among electives and student interest. We are strong in numbers. We are stronger when share.
While business education differs across the country, teachers in Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont have seen cuts.
Check out what’s been happening with business education in the eastern region. Then, get involved in the professional development and resources sharing.
